Comment: This vacuum by far is the best vacuum I have ever owned for under $349. The suction power is bar none the best I have ever utilized and could not believe the amount of dirt I suctioned up out of my carpet fibers. I previously owned the Kenmore Guacomole and Torchlite and neither could come close to the quality and power of this one. I have a buhdist palm statue and this vacuum lifted it off the floor! I have found that bags were hard to find but found an online vendor at reasonable prices. Also the hepa filter is pricy but I substituted with a hepa filter from home depot and cut to size to save big money!!! The attachments work great on unit and my favorite one is the crevice tool for couches and chairs.(My roomate has a dog and it picks up the hair great. The only thing I wish I would have done was to have bought it through amazon. I could have saved over a $100. Highly reccomend for Chicago High Rise condo living as it is also very quiet unit and will not disturb roomates or neighbors.

Comment: I love this vacuum so much I bought a second one. The suction power on this thing is great. I have both hardwood floors and carpet, so this vacuum can do it all. Also great for reaching up to my ceiling fans. I have a LARGE family as well as lots of pets that shed like crazy. This vacuum gets up everything, even the down fur under my dags coat that tens to stick to whatever it touches - pulls it right up!!! This is my 4th Royal vacuum and they usually last around 4 years with the kind of use I put them through. Can't complain. =)

Summary: So far, So good
Comment: I've only had the vacuum for about a month and a half, but I've been quite pleased with it so far. The adjustable suction has been a handy feature for going from delicate cleaning straight to more durable items. I don't feel that it does quite as well as I'd hoped for switching right over from carpet to bare floors, but most of our house is carpeted so it's still okay for us. Plus it has many GREAT attachments to choose from. It's kind of nice having a canister for a change of pace (I've stuck with uprights up until now). Being able to get under the beds is GREAT! This may be my favorite feature. It's so easy. It's not very noisy and that is also a good thing. It does a GREAT job on making the carpets look SO clean! And it is fun to use. I love to clean and I clean a lot, so it's important for me to be happy with my vacuum. I definitely am and would recommend it HIGHLY!

Summary: Nice looks and nothing more
Comment: For a full size canister vac, this one has very small bags. Compared to my Kenmore (bag type: 5055, or panasonic C-5), the Royal R type used by this machine are less than half the size of kenmore's.

Bags are extremely hard to come by, and where I live (city of 3 million people) they are nowhere to be found. Had to special mail order them. The price of bags is extremely high: $12 for 3 (including filter). It seems it is the only way to order bags: with filter. Kenmore bags cost me $1 for 2 (available at dollar stores!) and the filter is washable.

Do not be fooled by the advertizing: this machine uses HEPA "type" filtration, where "type" is the key word. Inside you will see two filters which need changing every 6-12 months, at least that's what the manual says. They cost the earth, and I found you can just go to home depot, get a filter for over the range vent for 2 bucks for a huge square, cut a piece you need for the vac and save big $.

Suction is OK until the bag gets half filled when it dropps dramatically.

The suction hose is waaaaaaay too long, by at least 2 feet. It tangles and gets in the way.

The lighted power brush attachement lights up the ceiling but not the carpet in front of it.

The power cord that is used to connect the power brush has to be plugged in under the carry handle which totally prevents you from lifting the vac and carrying around, who would design it this way???!?!?!?

Not all attachments fit "on board", the floor brush does not and has to be stored separately.

This machine is also available under the name: Dirt Devil power pak, or Jaguar (do not mistake with the "breeze").

I am dissapointed with the machine and the headache of finding the bags and the rip-off price they cost.

Summary: Useless
Comment: Where to start. The hose is way too stiff. The power connector keeps coming unplugged as you vacuum because it isn't meant to swivel more than 180 degrees. When it pulls free it bends the prongs so you have to keep bending them back to get it to fit. After doing this a number of times, I think they are about to break off, so have resorted to zip tieing the cord to the handle. That complicates bad replacement. The hose is just thin plastic so it will kink shut pretty easily. The power cord is so short you are constantly stopping, unplugging it, and plugging it in again somewhere else. Have added an extension cord to it, but that sort of defeats the retractable cord. The bare floor attachment is almost impossible to remove from the pipe after use as it wedges itself on so tight. Bags are small and expensive. Where the pipe fits into the wand, there is a piece of metal on the inside that catches all kinds of hair/lint that eventually plug the hose. After putting up with it for a year, the hose ripped completely appart. For $300, its massively over priced, and totally impractical. Returned it under warranty, but you couldn't pay me to take a replacement. Will not buy another one.
