Summary: Holds the dog hair!
Comment: I bought these bags as replacement bags and so far so good. They hold in my two dogs hair with no problem, helping to keep the carpet nice and clean.

Summary: no problems
Comment: They're just vacuum bags, nothing special about them. But they're pretty durable, although they do fill up rather quick. No complaints otherwise.

Summary: Better with a bag
Comment: I bought this vacuum for my son who lives 10 hours away. He has turned into a neat freak (yes!!!!) and cleans his apartment regularly. I have a bagless vac at home and hate it when it is time to empty it out. It seems I get as much dust out into the house as I do picking it up. This new Hoover vacuum is air tight. When it is time to change bags, it is simple and efficient (no stray dust particles). He changes the bags regularly and buys the hypoallergenic type. Since he has allergies, this vacuum has worked much better for him than the bagless one I had. How do I know? After I would vacuum my house he would always sneeze. He does not sneeze after he uses his.

Summary: Hoover does better with their vacuums than their bags
Comment: First the complaint - these bags are awfully pricey considering that they fill up so fast. The bag is too big for the compartment it's supposed to fit into, so you have to fold it over at the top and bottom to get it to fit into the allotted space.

Changing the bag is a big hassle because when you pull the old bag off, it's full of all that fine dust you were trying to keep out of the house and it all goes *POOF* when you try to delicately remove the bag from the vacuum.

I see a name brand competitor has come up with a solution to this by putting a little trap door thingie by the bag's opening, so when you pull the bag off the vacuum, all the dust doesn't fly out of the bag and go *POOF*.

Okay - the positive - The Hoover bags do a superior job of trapping fine and itty-bitty dust particles. But I do wish they'd figure out how to make bag removal and installation easier. Or just make the bag a different shape so you're not contorting it to get it into the allotted space.

Summary: Reasonable
Comment: Ok, the bag fills up fast, but then that's because the system does such a terrific job. One bag lasted two weeks, but then the cleaner itself gives an indication when the area is still dirty, so you tend to be more careful in vacuuming.Bag replacement is a bit clumsy but no more so than most machines. I had no trouble removing the bag and not spilling its contents. Yes, you have to fold the top and bottom over when you install it but that's because it unfolds when it fills up. Expense? Most vacuum cleaner bags are too expensive.
