Summary: Better than my Dyson Comment: I bought a Dyson almost a year ago and after several problems I decided to try this Eureka. This is the best vacuum I have used and one of the cheapest.

Summary: Love it! Comment: Great vacuum! Its weighs about twice as much as my old vacuum but is over twice as easy to push around. Great suction and attatchments

Summary: Great vacuum for the price Comment: I was comparing Eureka Capture against Hoover Windtunnel Cyclonic, Dyson DC17, and Dyson DC25. Eureka Capture is the better one of the three in my opinion:
1. Cost (cheapest of all). Especially compared to Dyson (yikes!)
2. Power, it compresses dirt in its cyclonic action.
3. Practical...quicker than others to draw the wand. You can leave the hand tool extension attached for quick draw and reach those spider webs in a second.
3. Edge cleaner... who has time to pull out the hand-tools?
4. Easy to clean dirt container -- unlike the other three, in Eureka it is just a dirt container. No filter and parts inside that take up space in place of the dirt so you don't have to empty it as often.
5. It has magic duster. Did I say "magic" duster? It is a self cleaning, self static charged duster. So handy to do a complete job of dusting. You can dust off your table tops, picture frames, top of your bed frames, etc. while vacuuming your floors. What a time saver!
6. EZ soft wheels (like those people use in roller skates) and bump guards all the way around so your floor and furnitures are protected.
What I wished Eureka has addressed on this vacuum is you how can you turn off the aggitator and why it is so loud? You cannot turn off the aggitator, but if you put the vacuum upright, the agitator will not touch your carpet. The brush on the agitator is also softer than others, so it won't damage your carpet/floor. On the noise.. I don't mind flying a jet for a moment to capture all the dust in my room :)
Yes the Dysons are quiter, more peaceful, but they come with a price. They do not have bumper guard to protect your furnitures. All of them take 3 steps to pull out your wand. They are harder and messy to clean the dirt container because they got parts inside the dirt containers. So are Hoover Windtunnel Cyclonic (at least Hoover has some bumper guards) I can't believe how messy it is to clean Hoover's dirt container since it got so many parts and slopes inside the container.
So if you want a complete and cost effective cleaner that won't scratch your furnitures, my recommendation is Eureka Capture.

Summary: Great vac. Alot of Aggravation Comment: I have the green eureka capture vac. It does pick up extremly well, but it comes with alot of aggravation. First off it got about 3 filter only 2 you replace (that's not really too bad). The most aggravating thing is getting the cover off to get to the roller brush and belt. You've got 4 screws to remove that are in some really odd spots (you need a long screwdriver). Also it is really aggravating to get the stupid screws back in the vac. The hose isn't realy long, plus the vac is top heavy. So, if your using your hose to get some cobwebs down it will probly fall over.
It's hard to keep the power cord on the hooks they put on the vac(its too much cord for the hook). But the cord is really long so that is great.
This vaccuum cleaner is very heavy so it's kinda hard to push. But all in all it picks up great. It does clog up sometimes but thats because I forgot to empty out the bucket.

Summary: Sucks great--but clogs too easily Comment: I loved the suction power of this vac, but after awhile, it just didn't seem to do the job. I noticed that the cup wasn't getting much dirt, so I tore it apart to see what was going on. The intake and the hose was super clogged--it was a mess!
After getting it cleaned out, I started watching it closely, and noticed that it clogs really easily. I am constantly having to reach up above the collection cup and pull out dust, and dirt, and hair, and who knows what. I don't have allergy problems, but anyone with an aversion to dust would not be able to do this without a dust mask.
I regret this purchase. At the time I bought this, I looked for reviews and could find none--it was a fairly new model. Now, 9 months later, I can't see getting another vacuum, but wish I could.
Fortunately, it wasn't too expensive, but I can't afford another.
